Emad A Salem

A former Egyptian Intelligence Officer, Salem came to the United States in 1987. He worked his way into the New York City muslim community and eventually became chief of security for Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman. He was the FBI's primary informant in the Word Trade Center bombing case of 1993.

His photograph was published in the book Two Seconds Under the World, by Jim Dwyer.

Christopher Whitcomb, a member of the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) tells of guarding Salem in his book Cold Zero. The account is not flattering of Salem, whom Whitcomb names "Tom Clark." He is decribed as a petulant and flabby "6-foot, 275 pound Egyptian with a temper like Mount Vesuvius" who "threw temper tantrums like a spoiled child."
